INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

At American Honda Motor, I worked in the Advance Design Digital Department, focusing on future vehicle UX and brand strategy for 2030+ Acura and Honda models. I contributed to both group and personal intern projects, including a Gen Z storytelling initiative and a mini-BMX expansion of Motocompacto, exploring emotional engagement in mobility. In the team, I supported research, brainstorming, and ideation, attended AWE USA 2024 to explore spatial computing for in-car experiences, and helped shape next-generation digital UX strategies to strengthen Honda’s brand identity for future consumers.

User Experience

Learnings

I learned how storytelling enhances UX design by helping designers and teams empathize with users' experiences and emotions. By crafting narratives, I explored how brand identity, user needs, and digital interactions can be meaningfully connected to create more intuitive and emotionally resonant designs.

Exploring AR/VR, spatial computing, and AI-assisted design broadened my perspective on future in-car experiences. I gained hands-on insights into how these technologies can enhance interaction, immersion, and personalization in mobility design.

Developing UX for future Acura and Honda models deepened my understanding of aligning brand strategy with user needs. I learned how to craft experiences that not only showcase innovation and technology but also reinforce brand values and emotional engagement to resonate with target users.
